UK's new woodfuel quality
assurance standard.
This not-for-profit scheme provides a straightforward, thorough procedure for assessing the quality and sustainability of woodfuel supplied for use in biomass boilers
and woodfuel appliances. The scheme is supported by HETAS.
Woodsure’s quality testing ensures that the producer and
the supplier know how to make or supply fuel
that will be right for your boiler.
Our simple, practical approach to
accreditation and our stringent quality evaluation regime
means that woodfuel production costs can be kept down
but quality improves.

Woodfuel – is there enough?
To ensure we do not run out of fuel our
Woodsure Plus standard demonstrates that
timber is derived from sustainable sources.
This could be a woodland that is managed in
a sustainable manner, trees from historical
habitat management such as heathland
restoration, clean used wood or old pallets.
Ensuring that timber comes from sustainable
sources will enable us to continue supplying
woodfuel indefinitely. |
