Bruce Allen
CEO and Director
Bruce joined HETAS as CEO in 2006 and was appointed as CEO of Woodsure in 2017. Leading our policy, strategy and partnership work across both organisations, Bruce helps inform industry and provides insight to government departments including DEFRA, BEIS and DLUHC, as well as trade associations, member organisations, the scientific community and local authorities.
He is passionate about helping people make cleaner and safer choices in the use of biomass, other solid fuels and associated technologies, ensuring registered and qualified professionals have access to the latest knowledge, expertise and training, and supporting the industry as it changes and adapts for the future.
Bruce is also a trustee of the CO Research Trust, working alongside other trustees and Chair, Baroness Finlay, in the mission to eliminate the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. His previous roles include Registration Manager at CORGI and he holds a Masters Degree in business along with gas and heating engineering qualifications.
